Hillwood is a condo community comprising nearly 170 units of varying sizes. Built in the 1990s, Hillwood features one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Some of the two-bedroom units also have lofts. Pets are allowed at Hillwood, but some restrictions apply. The community also features a club house and outdoor swimming pool.

Located near the intersection of Duke Street and Van Dorn Street, Hillwood is convenient to major commuting routes, such as I-395 and the Beltway. It’s also about one-and-a-half miles from the Van Dorn metro station. With a walk score of 74, Hillwood is considered “very walkable.” More than a dozen restaurants are within a half mile of residents’ front doors, including local favorites Sakul Thai and Savio’s. A dozen grocery stores are within a mile, as are seven coffee shops for that morning jolt.

Currently, just one unit is actively listed for sale in MRIS, our local MLS. It’s a two-bed, two-bath unit priced at $299,000. It has 1,150 square feet of living space and has so far been on the market for 18 days. No homes are currently under contract in Hillwood.

In the past year, five units have changed hands in Hillwood. They sat on the market for 132 days on average with an average sales price of $293,400. Of those five units, none were short sales or foreclosures.
