Hunting Creek is a community of more than 100 townhouses. The majority of the homes were built in the 1940s and ’50s, with some more homes being added to the neighborhood in the late 1970s. Some garden-style apartments are also part of the community.

Located near South Patrick Street, Hunting Creek is convenient to major commuting routes, such as the Beltway, Route 1, and George Washington Memorial Parkway. It’s also less than one mile to the King Street Metro station.

With a walk score of 72, Hunting Creek is considered “very walkable.” More than a dozen restaurants are within a mile of residents’ front doors, including local favorites Faccia Luna and Columbia Firehouse. The popular Jones Point Park is also nearby.

Currently, two homes are actively listed for sale in Hunting Creek, according to MRIS, our local MLS. One of the homes is a two-bed, two-bath interior townhouse with an asking price of $577,000. It has been on the market for 78 days. The other home is also an interior townhouse. It has three bedrooms, two full baths, and one half bath. It’s listed for $742,875 and has been on the market for 145 days. Neither of those homes is a short sale or foreclosure.

In the past year, just three homes have changed hands in Hunting Creek. Two of them were interior townhouses, and one was an end unit. All three had two bedrooms and two full baths, and one had an additional half bath. The average sales price was $570,167 and they sat on the market for an average of 67 days before selling. None of the homes that sold last year were short sales or foreclosures.
