Alexandria Neighborhoods: Cameron Knoll

Cameron Knoll is a community of 95 three-level townhouses located just south of Duke Street and west of Quaker Lane in Alexandria. The neighborhood has three streets and consists of houses on Duke Street, Fendall Avenue, and Floyd Street South. Built in the early 1980s, the homes range in size from 1,220 square feet up to 1,484 square feet. The floor plans in Cameron KnollĀ  have two, three, or four bedrooms, two or three full baths, and one or two half baths.

The community is convenient to the Beltway and I-395, and is about two miles from the Huntington metro station. Cameron Knoll earns a walk score of 35, or car dependent. However, at least eight restaurants are within three-quarters of a mile from the neighborhood, including the local favorite Tempo Restaurant.

Currently, four homes In Cameron Knoll are actively listed for sale in MRIS, our local MLS. They range in price from $350,000 for a two-bed, 2.5-bath house, to $399,000 for a home with four bedrooms, three full baths, and one half bath. One of the houses listed for sale is a short sale, and none are foreclosures. No homes are currently under contract in the neighborhood.

In the past year, just two homes have changed ownership in Cameron Knoll. One was a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home that sold for $399,500. The other house had two bedrooms, two full baths, and one half bath, and it sold for $395,000. Both houses sat on the market for just 29 days before selling, and neither was a short sale or foreclosure.
